INTERNEWSTIMES.COM – Naomi Campbell, the legendary supermodel, has been banned from serving as a charity trustee for five years following a damning investigation into her charity, Fashion for Relief. The UK’s Charity Commission uncovered evidence of financial misconduct, revealing a shocking pattern of luxury spending at the expense of the organization’s charitable mission.
Fashion for Relief, established in 2005, was billed as a charitable organization dedicated to supporting environmental and humanitarian causes through grants. However, the Charity Commission’s investigation, launched in 2021, revealed a stark reality: the charity was “poorly governed and had inadequate financial management.”

Instead of funding charitable causes, the investigation found that funds were used for lavish expenses, including luxury hotel stays, spa treatments, room service, and even cigarettes. Between April 2016 and July 2022, a mere 8.5% of Fashion for Relief’s overall expenditure was allocated to charitable grants.
Campbell, 54, has not publicly commented on the report. However, the Charity Commission’s findings have resulted in a five-year ban on her serving as a trustee for any charity in England and Wales. (Red)
