INTERNEWSTIMES.COM – A Naramata, British Columbia man has been found guilty of two counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of two brothers in the B.C. interior.

Wade Cudmore, 35, was one of two men accused in the drug-related killings of Erick and Carlo Fryer, which occurred in May 2021. The brothers’ bodies were found with gunshot wounds, stab wounds, and blunt force trauma to the head near a forest service road in Naramata.
Cudmore was initially charged with first-degree murder, but the jury found him guilty of the lesser charge after deliberating for four days.
Cudmore’s co-accused, Anthony Graham, is also charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the case, but remains at large.
During the trial, Cudmore testified in his own defense and claimed that Graham was responsible for the murders. However, Crown prosecutors argued that Cudmore and Graham conspired to lure the brothers to the remote location with the intention of stealing their drugs.
The case highlights the dangers of drug trafficking and the violence that can accompany it. The deaths of the Fryer brothers and the subsequent investigation have had a significant impact on the Naramata community. (Red)
