INTERNEWSTIMES.COM – As tensions escalate in Lebanon, with a surge in conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, coupled with Iranian missile attacks on Israel, several nations are actively working to evacuate their citizens. While no large-scale military evacuations have been initiated yet, countries are chartering private planes and deploying military assets to neighboring countries like Cyprus and Turkey.

France, Germany, and Greece have already begun evacuating non-essential embassy staff, families, and vulnerable citizens. Cyprus has requested Greece’s assistance in evacuating its citizens, while Turkey is on standby for potential evacuations by air and sea.
Australia, Canada, Belgium, Denmark, and the Netherlands have also urged their citizens to leave Lebanon and have made arrangements for evacuations via air and sea. China has successfully evacuated over 200 citizens, while Italy has reduced its diplomatic staff and increased security at its embassy in Beirut.
The United Kingdom has deployed troops to Cyprus and chartered private flights for its citizens. The United States has also deployed troops to Cyprus and is working with private airlines to increase flights from Lebanon.
The situation in Lebanon remains volatile, and international efforts to evacuate citizens are ongoing. The global response underscores the concern surrounding the escalating conflict and the need for coordinated action to ensure the safety of their citizens. (Red)
