INTERNEWSTIMES.COM – Peel Regional Police have made significant progress in their investigation into the shocking daytime theft of a luxury Porsche Cayenne SUV in Mississauga earlier this month. Four individuals, including two men from Toronto and two youths, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
The arrests follow the release of security footage that captured the brazen theft and the subsequent assault of the vehicle’s owner, an 18-year-old Brampton woman, who had listed the vehicle for sale on AutoTrader.

The two Toronto men, aged 36 and 21, face a number of charges, including possession of an automobile master key, a specialized tool designed to operate the ignition or locks of multiple vehicles. The two youths have been charged with possession of property obtained by crime, with one of them also facing a charge of failure to comply with bail conditions.
Peel police believe the suspects are part of an organized group responsible for various serious offenses and anticipate laying further charges and identifying additional suspects.
The Porsche Cayenne, stolen on September 6th, has been recovered by police, along with a blue BMW X5 believed to have been involved in the theft. The BMW had previously been reported stolen to Toronto police.
The arrests come after the initial arrest of the 18-year-old Brampton woman, who turned herself in to police on September 19th. She faces charges of theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation causing bodily harm, and failure to remain after an accident causing bodily harm. She also faces additional charges related to a vehicle theft and attempted theft in Toronto.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward. (Red)
