INTERNEWSTIMES.COM – “We Didn’t Hear ‘Cut!’:” Andrew Garfield Reveals Unexpectedly Passionate Scene with Florence Pugh

Andrew Garfield has revealed a hilarious and unexpected behind-the-scenes story from the set of his upcoming film “We Live in Time.” During a recent interview, the actor confessed that a sex scene with co-star Florence Pugh took an unexpected turn, going “a little bit further” than intended.

Garfield explained that the scene was filmed on a “closed set,” meaning only a small crew was present to ensure the actors’ privacy. As they got into the scene, Garfield and Pugh became so engrossed in their performance that they didn’t hear the director call “cut.”

“We were getting into it, as it were, and we go a little bit further than we were meant,” Garfield shared. “Just because we never heard ‘cut,’ and it was feeling safe.”

The actors continued to rehearse the scene, unaware that the camera operator had stopped filming. “We’re kind of like, ‘Ok, we’ll go to the next thing, and the next thing. We’ll let this progress. And we’ll just carry on,'” Garfield explained. “At a certain point, both of us, I feel like we were telepathically saying to each other, ‘This definitely feels like a long take.'”

It wasn’t until Garfield looked up that he realized the camera operator was not even filming the passionate moment. “I look up and in the corner is Stuart [the camera operator] and our boom operator,” he shared. “Stuart has the camera by his side and is turned into the wall.”

While the incident may have been a bit embarrassing for the actors, Garfield’s anecdote highlights the trust and comfort they shared on set. “We Live in Time” is a bittersweet love story that follows Garfield’s Tobias and Pugh’s Almut as they navigate a difficult medical diagnosis. The film is set to be released in [insert release date. (Red)
